Solar hybrid inverter: Fronius GEN24 PLUS with integrated back-up power supply
With need-based emergency power variants, which can operate with or without batteries, the Fronius Symo GEN24 Plus offers the highest degree of power supply reliability for the domestic sector.
The innovative PV point provides basic emergency power for the first time, even for customers who do not wish to purchase a battery immediately. For customers who already have a battery, the device offers a proven complete backup solution that can provide the whole household with emergency power.
Fronius GEN24 Plus devices are therefore the ideal solution for a range of customer requirements; whether the system needs to have a battery from day one, a Fronius Ohmpilot needs to use PV energy to heat hot water, or the PV system needs to be integrated into a home automation package. Fronius GEN24 Plus will always be the right choice - for new systems as well as for upgrading and expanding existing solar systems.
What's more, the new devices make installation, commissioning and maintenance incredibly easy, and can be used in all types of systems. Proven Fronius technologies, such as the SuperFlex design, will also be featured in the Primo and Symo GEN24 Plus devices - which offer ideal storage solutions for large single-phase and three-phase systems.
INTEGRATED DATA COMMUNICATION
We are the first inverter manufacturer to offer a data communication package with fully integrated data logging, WLAN, Ethernet, energy management, web server and a range of interfaces. The inverter is connected to the Internet via network cable or WLAN - without any additional cabling - and provides you with a perfect overview of PV system operation. Interfaces such as SunSpec Modbus TCP, SunSpec Modbus RTU or Fronius Solar API (JSON) can be used to connect to third-party components. Open interfaces can also be operated in parallel with Fronius Solar.web.
DYNAMIC PEAK MANAGER
Dynamic Peak Manager is a new MPP tracking algorithm that dynamically adapts its behavior when searching for the optimum operating point. Its special feature is that Dynamic Peak Manager automatically checks the entire characteristic curve on a regular basis and finds the global maximum power point (GMPP), even in partial shade.
MULTI-FLOW TECHNOLOGY
Thanks to Multi Flow technology, different DC and AC energy flows are possible in parallel. On the one hand, this makes module and battery energy available for domestic use at the same time. However, it is also possible for energy from the modules to be fed simultaneously into the battery and the internal grid. What's more, not only can the battery be charged on the DC side, but also on the AC side (e.g. from existing PV systems or other energy sources, such as a wind turbine). This means that the inverter is also suitable for AC-coupled upgrading. The inverter manages these energy flows to achieve the highest possible degree of self-sufficiency.
SUPERFLEX DESIGN
The Fronius SuperFlex Design is an ingenious combination of technical performance attributes that make designing your PV system not only extremely simple, but also incredibly flexible. The key performance factors of the SuperFlex design are two MPP trackers, as well as a high system voltage and a wide DC input voltage range. Each DC input, and therefore each MPP tracker, is capable of accommodating the inverter's entire rated output. Regardless of whether the inverter has to cope with different roof orientations, the shading of one or two strings, or the use of residual modules: a Fronius inverter with integrated SuperFlex design will satisfy every conceivable operational PV system planning scenario using a single inverter model.
COMPLETE BACKUP
With back-up power variants as required, which can be operated with or without battery, the inverter offers the highest degree of power reliability for the domestic sector: / Back-up power option possible with and without battery / Integrated grid back-up (PV Point) as standard option / Full back-up offers maximum independence
PV POINT
The integrated grid backup - a socket that is powered during power failures - ensures that important loads can continue to operate in the event of a power failure. The PV Point can be used with or without a battery.
