The RS Smart Solar inverter combines the power of a 48 VDC, 6 kVA-230 VAC inverter with the high voltage of a 4 kW, 80-450 VDC MPPT solar charger. Thanks to its modern design and high-frequency technology, the converter weighs just 11 kg, and offers excellent efficiency, low quiescent power and very quiet operation.
The inverter is equipped with a display showing battery, inverter and solar charger parameters. These parameters can also be transmitted for reading via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect application. In addition, the inverter has a VE.Can port for connecting a GX device to supervise the system, and a VE.Direct port for connecting a GlobalLink 520.
Off-grid solar inverter
The RS Smart 48/6000 solar inverter is a 48 V, 6 kVA inverter with 450 VDC PV input and
4 kWp. It is used in off-grid solar applications requiring AC power.
Combination of inverter, bidirectional DC-DC converter and MPPT
The inverter produces a perfect sine wave capable of powering high-power household appliances. It is powered by a bidirectional DC-DC converter that can either recharge the battery when excess solar power is available, or convert it from the battery when it is needed.
Wide MPPT voltage range
80 - 450 VDC, with a PV start-up voltage of 120 VDC.
Lightweight, efficient and quiet
Thanks to high-frequency technology and a new design, this powerful inverter weighs just 11 kg. What's more, it boasts excellent efficiency, low quiescent power consumption and very quiet operation.
Display and Bluetooth
The display shows the parameters of the solar charge controller, battery and inverter. The same settings can be accessed from a smartphone or device with Bluetooth enabled. In addition, the Bluetooth function can be used to configure the system and change settings using VictronConnect.
VE.Can and VE.Direct port
Allows connection to a GX device for system monitoring, data logging, and remote firmware updates.
Integrated PV isolator
Two parallel PV strings connected to MC4 connectors can be safely isolated using the integrated switch on top of the unit.
I/O connections
Connections for programmable relay, temperature sensor, auxiliary digital input and voltage sensor. The remote input is compatible with Victron's smallBMS as well as with other types of BMS with an "Allow-to-charge" signal.
