In Enphase installations, the single-phase Q relay (decoupling protection) acts as a physical grid disconnection device for single-phase installations.
In the event ofspecific grid faults, the Q relay disconnects Enphase microinverters from the AC grid. When voltages and/or frequencies return to acceptable ranges, the Q relay reconnects the system.
The Q relay works in conjunction with the Envoy-S, and ensures that both neutral and phase conductors are disconnected according to grid requirements.
