Innoventum is the only provider of small-scale renewable energy solutions that offers wooden towers. Wood has the unique ability to capture and store carbon dioxide while reducing carbon sources. Each cubic metre of wood saves a total of 2 tonnes of carbon dioxide. In this way, each of our wooden towers reduces the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, while steel towers (currently the industry standard) are associated with significant carbon emissions during manufacturing. Wood, unlike steel, is a renewable material, making it a sustainable choice.
Innoventum's solutions have a number of functional advantages, such as making wind turbines quieter, solar production more efficient, and producing energy more widely distributed throughout the day and year. their solutions have been developed in collaboration with leading European universities and research centres. Their partners and the InnoVentum team have devoted countless hours of engineering to research and development and testing.
Innoventum solutions catch the eye in our customers' gardens and in public places, some call them even the most beautiful wind turbines in Sweden! They are inspired by great works of art, architectural monuments and the world of nature. Their designs are unique and an important part of our intellectual property.
The Giraffe 2.0 by InnoVentum is a combined carport and charging station that recover the green energy produced by wind and sun to power your electric vehicle.
The Giraffe 2.0 is made of materials Renewable (wood) and Recycled (metal), bringing green power plants to the next level of sustainability. The trees used for the structure absorbed several tons of CO2 from the atmosphere before their wood took on the unique form of a giraffe.
- all this carbon dioxide is kept in the structure for decades, thus contributing positively to the climate.
To give you flexibility, we combine the Giraffe 2.0 power plant with the EV charger you prefer, which allows you to recharge your electric car in just a few hours. If you don't have an electric car or plug-in hybrid yet, you can of course connect the Giraffe 2.0 directly to the power grid And power your home or install a Giraffe 2.0 off-grid where the network is not available.
On average, the Giraffe 2.0 provides you with energy for more than 225 km of electronic driving per day and in one year it produces enough energy for you to drive twice in the world!
She consists of a wooden structure supporting 24 solar modules as well as a wind turbine mounted 12 metres height. The design of the solution was published in 2014 at the largest design exhibition in Asia.
La Giraffe 2.0 wind turbine-solar power plant is suitable for a variety of applications. It can recharge a cottage in summer, a house, provide hot water, light, electrical electronic equipment
- be connected to the Network or in remote locations, for example, by replacing the diesel generator (with an appropriate backup battery).
In urban areas, the Giraffe 2.0 can function as a charging station electric vehicles or as a educational facility renewable energy.
Being a hybrid power station, the Giraffe 2.0 offers two distinct advantages:
• Continuity of electricity generation: complementary wind and solar technologies provide energy day and night, summer and winter;
• Power density for spatial efficiency: electricity generation per square metre of footprint is doubled compared to solutions of the same size based solely on the sun, or only on the wind.
In addition, the use of wood ensures operating silence thanks to the fibers of the wooden structure that absorb vibrations and noise.
Finally, the unique design of the Giraffe 2.0 leaves no one indifferent. These facilities are proving to attract a lot of attention from children and adults alike.
With The Giraffe 2.0, you are taking an important step towards the future where the focus on renewable materials and energy sources naturally ends CO2 emissions from the careless use of our planet's mineral resources and fossil fuels.
The Giraffe has an annual energy production of about 15,000 kWh under normal conditions, which is enough for two electric cars to travel the globe twice.
It has been producing renewable energy for 25 years, metals and wood can be recycled.
The Giraffe leaves no concrete left in the ground and the screw foundation is removed and recycled.
Parking spaces | Two cars |
Annual energy production (6m/s wind) | 13850 kWh |
EV mileage per year | 45,000 km x 2 cars |
Footprint | 24.6m2 |
Dimensions (width x length x height) | 4.1m x 6.0m x 12.0m |
Energy density (kWh/m2 footprint) | 560 kWh/m2 |
Thanks to the intelligent (carefully calculated) positioning of the photovoltaic panels, the Giraffe 2.0 starts producing solar energy 2 hours earlier and stops 2 hours later than a conventional PV mount, avoiding maximum production at noon and producing energy over a longer period of time.
Wind and solar energy technologies are very complementary (day - night, summer - winter) providing green energy day and night, all year round.
Therefore, you can count on a flat energy curve.
Wind and solar energy are very complementary: wind energy is produced mainly during the coldest nights and months of the year, while solar energy is produced only during the day, especially during the summer months. The air has a higher density during the winter months and at night, increasing the amount of wind energy generated. In addition, based on climate studies, stable strong winds that make wind power possible are widespread during the cold nights and months of the year.
In this way, the energy produced by a hybrid wind-solar power plant has a much more uniform flow compared to pure wind or pure solar installations, thus solving the inevitable sinusoidal curve problem that is considered the disadvantage of renewable energies. This complementarity is the main principle used in a hybrid construction like the Giraffe 2.0.
The Giraffe 2.0 solar-solar power plant is capable of producing 10,000 to 20,000 kWh per year (depending on wind speed and level of sunshine) by providing energy 24 hours a day, year-round. The special positioning of the PV panels allows for stable energy production and gives solar energy for at least four hours overtime compared to a conventional PV mount.
You can track giraffes' energy production in real time from the computer or mobile phone.
